titleOfInvention Transition metal catalyst system with excellent copolymerization and preparation method of ethylene homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin using same
abstract The present invention relates a homogeneous catalyst system for preparation of an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, and more specifically to a group 4 transition metal compound in which a cyclopentadienyl derivate, substituted with alkyl at 3,4-positions centered around the group 4 transition metal compound, and an electron-donating substituent are crosslinked. In addition, the invention relates to a method for preparing a high molecular weight ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin under a high temperature solution polymerization condition using a catalyst system comprising the transition metal compound and an aluminum compound co-catalyst or a boron compound co-catalyst, or a mixture thereof. According to the present invention, the catalyst has excellent thermal stability and copolymerization with α-olefin, and is thus effective in the preparation of an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, which has various properties in commercial polymerization processes.
