[Problem] To provide: a method for manufacturing conjugated diolefin, by which it is possible to control reaction byproducts having high boiling points that remain in the post-process of a quenching process when a quenching tower is used; and a method for manufacturing conjugated diolefin (for example, 1, 3-butadiene) that can be used as a raw material such as a synthetic rubber or resin, even when conjugated diolefin (for example, butadiene) is manufactured using, as a material, a mixed hydrocarbon of an industrial grade that does necessarily have high purity. [Solution] This method for manufacturing conjugated diolefin comprises: a step for feeding a hydrocarbon that contains monoolefin having carbon number of 4 or more, and oxygen into a reactor accommodating a catalyst containing a metal oxide and a carrier to produce a reaction product gas containing conjugated diolefin; a step for and sending the reaction product gas to a quenching tower to wash the reaction product gas with a quenching agent, wherein an organic amine aqueous solution is used as the quenching agent. |
