abstract | Disclosed are a method and a system for releasing user equipment information in relay node switching. The method comprises: after completing path switching, a target base station sending a message of releasing a UE to a source base station, or an MME sending the message to an S_SGW, the message carrying information indicating that the S_SGW of the UE is a local serving gateway; and the source base station deleting a context of the UE, and the S_SGW releasing a bearer of the UE. According to the solution provided in the present invention, according to the characteristic that the S_SGW is a local serving gateway, RN related resources of the source base station and the S_SGW can be deleted only with one simple process, thereby reducing signaling overhead of X2, S11 or S5/S8. |
