abstract |
Provided is a nanoparticle manufacturing device which is capable of preventing generation of waste liquid and is capable of rapid and continuous synthesis while damage to electrodes is suppressed. The present invention is a nanoparticle manufacturing device which synthesizes nanoparticles in a liquid by means of in-liquid plasma, and comprises: a container for accommodating the liquid; an electromagnetic wave generating device for generating high frequency waves or microwaves; an electrode conductor which has a tip end that comes into contact with the liquid to supply the high frequency waves or microwaves to the liquid; a cover section which is arranged in the liquid so as to cover the top of the tip end of the electrode conductor; a metal element which is made of the metal that is the raw material of the nanoparticles, and has the tip end thereof arranged facing the tip end of the electrode conductor; and a feed device for feeding the tip end of the metal element to the tip of the electrode conductor. The shape of the tip end of the electrode conductor is a non-edged shape, and the cross-sectional area of the electrode conductor orthogonal to the axis thereof and excluding the tip end section is larger than the cross-sectional area of the metal element orthogonal to the axis thereof. |
