abstract |
The present invention provides: a novel boron compound which has a maximum absorption wavelength in the near-infrared light range and has low absorption of the visible light range, thereby making an excellent near-infrared absorbent; a near-infrared absorbent which uses the novel boron compound; and a near-infrared absorbing synthetic resin composition which uses the novel boron compound. The present invention specifically provides: a boron compound which is represented by general formula (1), wherein each of R 1 -R 16 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; and a near-infrared absorbing synthetic resin composition which contains the boron compound as a near-infrared absorbent.nIn general formula (1), each of R 1 -R 16 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an amino group, an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or the like. |
