abstract The present invention relates to an external additive for electronic paper particles for duplex surface-treatment using carbon black and silicon dioxide, and comprises: a bare particle; a plurality of carbon black particles which are externally added to the bare particle; and a plurality of silicon dioxide particles which are externally added to the carbon black particles. According to the present invention, unlike existing methods, by duplexing the carbon black and the silicon dioxide having an amino group and externally adding same to the surface of a particle, clumping between particles can be suppressed and particle mobility and be significantly enhanced. Also, unlike existing external additives, pores of the external additive disappear from the surface of the particles, thereby providing the advantage of preventing clumping between particles due to an amino group, and of maximizing particle mobility.
