abstract An analyzer instrument (1) for optically measuring at least one property of a test medium (4), comprising a light source (20), a light management unit (22) for guiding light emitted by said light source (20) through a detection space (30) in said test medium (4), a light detection unit (24) for detecting at least a fraction of said light scattered, reflected or transmitted by the test medium (4), a power management unit (13), and a data management unit (28). The analyzer instrument (1) is coupled to a power source (10) via a source wiring (7). Said power management unit (13) is distributing energy from the power source (10) via a buffer wiring (18) to said light source (20), and via a further wiring (9, 11) to said light detection unit (24), and said data management unit (28). The data management unit (28) is adapted to exchange measurement data via signal wiring (11) with said light detection unit (24) and with a receiving unit (19), wherein said analyzer instrument (1) is adapted to be operated in a potentially hazardous environment (5).
