titleOfInvention Method for producing azo pigment
abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an azo pigment whereby the aromatic amines that are included in pigment can be reduced and thereby will have a negative Ames test and have excellent coloring power and brilliance. Provided is a method for producing an azo pigment in which a coupling component is coupled with a diazo component may by diazotizing an aromatic amine, the method being characterized in that a solution containing the coupler component is heated to a temperature of 70 to 100°C for 0.1 to 10 minutes.
