abstract |
This method that is for producing single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons and that produces single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons having 6-8 carbon atoms has: a breakdown/modification reaction step for obtaining a product containing single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons by contacting a starting material oil to a catalyst to cause a reaction; a purification/collection step for purifying and collecting single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons isolated from the product generated in the breakdown/modification step; and (1) a hydrogenation reaction step for hydrogenating a heavy fraction isolated from the product generated in the breakdown/modification step, a dilution step for returning a portion of the product of the heavy fraction hydrogenation reaction obtained in the hydrogenation reaction step to the hydrogenation reaction step as a dilution oil, and a recycling step for returning the product of the heavy fraction hydrogenation reaction obtained in the hydrogenation reaction step to the breakdown/modification reaction step, or (2) a dilution step for adding a diluting agent to the heavy fraction isolated from the product generated in the breakdown/modification step, a hydrogenation reaction step for hydrogenating the mixture, and a recycling step for returning the product of the mixture hydrogenation reaction obtained in the hydrogenation reaction step to the breakdown/modification reaction step. |
