titleOfInvention | Method for measuring mandibular movements guided by the jaw joint, and device therefor |
abstract | With the aid of mandibular movements that are guided by the jaw joint and can also be performed mechanically or by motor, it is possible to determine when both condyles are simultaneously at the zenith of their fossa. A suitable device is used to determine the height values that the condyles each reach as they travel in their associated fossa. In this way, it is possible to precisely determine the value at which both condyles are simultaneously at the zenith of their fossa. The required masticating force of the patient is obtained via a support pin, which is brought into contact with a measuring plate. |
