Disclosed is a gel pad and a method for producing same by ultraviolet light curing. The gel pad comprises a gel bag (4) filled with a gel (5), the gel (5) being formed by curing a monomer 5%-30%, a cross-linking agent 0.01%-2%, a photoinitiator 0.001-2% and water using ultraviolet light. The monomer is a composition of two or more of alkali metal acrylates, esters generated from methacrylic acid, acrylamide, methacrylamide, and AMPS (2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid). The cross-linking agent is a compound having non-conjugated double bonds, and is a polyalcohol, such as glycerol, N,N'-methylene bisacrylamide. The photoinitiator is a cleavage-type initiator or a photosensitive initiator, or a cation initiator. The present invention has a simple production process, quick gelation, and the gel pads made therefrom are smooth. |
