titleOfInvention Aluminum silicate, metal ion adsorbent, and method for producing same
abstract The aluminum silicate of the present invention has an elemental molar ratio Si/Al of 0.3 to 1.0 and a peak near 3 ppm by 27 Al-NMR, has a peak A near -78 ppm and a peak B near -85 ppm by 29 Si-NMR, and has peaks near 2θ = 26.9º and 40.3º by powder X-ray diffraction. Moreover, either the surface area ratio of peak B to peak A is between 2.0 and 9.0, or tube-shaped matter having a length of 50 nm or greater is not present in the transmission electron micrograph magnified 100,000 times. The aluminum silicate is produced by desalting and solid separation of a reaction product of a silicic acid ion solution and an aluminum ion solution and then heating, desalting, and solid separation, in the presence of an aqueous medium and under concentration conditions such that the silicon atom concentration is 100 mmol/L or greater and the aluminum atom concentration is 100 mmol/L or greater.
