abstract |
[Problem] To provide a prevention method which introduces an alkaline substance to inactivate microorganisms or viruses in contact with a surface, and a preventive solidified substance used in the prevention method. [Solution] A mixture slurry is obtained by mixing and stirring a non-alkali-thickenable resin emulsion which is not thickened by agglutination and solidification even if containing an alkaline substance, and an alkaline substance having a pH of 10.0 or more in the form of dilute aqueous solution. This mixture slurry is used as a base material, and the base material is applied to the surface of an object (200) and solidified by drying so as to form on the surface of the object a solidified substance (100) wherein the alkaline substance is dispersed and embedded in the form of solid particles (102) on the inside and fine cracks (104) are formed which communicate with the solid particles (102) of the alkaline substance on the inside. By forming this solidified substance (100), moisture (106) adhering to the surface of the solidified substance will permeate the fine cracks (104), dissolve the solid particles (102) of the alkaline substance on the inside, and exhibit a pH of 10.0 or more at the surface of the solidified substance. Thus, microorganisms or viruses on the surface of the solidified substance will be inactivated. Titanium oxide particles (105) may be contained. |
