Provided are a use and a method for treating chronic liver diseases such as liver fibrosis and liver cirrhosis by using hepatocyte nuclear factor 1α (HNF1α). Regulation of the expression of HNF1α gene can effectively induce the hepatocyte nuclear factor, thus providing a new means for treating chronic liver diseases. |
