abstract Provided are: an antibacterial resin composition derived from a master batch, said antibacterial resin composition comprising as the main component a polyethylene terephthalate resin, which can be processed into antibacterial fibers and antibacterial films, yet being capable of effectively preventing the hydrolysis thereof, and having a high dispersibility of an antibacterial glass; an antibacterial fiber obtained by processing the antibacterial resin composition; an antibacterial film obtained by processing the antibacterial resin composition; and a method for producing an antibacterial resin composition derived from a master batch. The antibacterial resin composition derived from a master batch, which comprises a polyethylene terephthalate resin (A), a polybutylene terephthalate resin (B), and an antibacterial glass (C) capable of releasing silver ion, has the following composition: (A) polyethylene terephthalate resin: 100 wt parts; (B) polybutylene terephthalate resin: 0.5-25 wt parts; and (C) antibacterial glass: 0.1-10 wt parts.
