[Problem] To provide a catalyst for nitrogen oxide removal which is free from the problem of deterioration caused by adsorbed water during abrupt temperature rises and which has excellent nitrogen oxide-removing performance and retentivity thereof.n[Solution] A catalyst for nitrogen oxide removal which comprises a zeolite loaded with a metal, wherein the zeolite has a framework structure which contains at least silicon atoms, aluminum atoms, and phosphorus atoms and the amount of water that is adsorbed onto the catalyst at 25ºC and a relative vapor pressure of 0.5 is 0.05-0.2 (kg-water/kg-catalyst). A process for producing the catalyst for nitrogen oxide removal which comprises: drying a mixture slurry that contains a metal source, a zeolite, and metal oxide particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-10 µm and/or an inorganic binder; and burning the obtained dry powder. |
