| abstract | The invention discloses a method and system for upgrading software versions of network elements with distributed centralized scheduling. The method includes: step 1, based on configured download control parameters, a network management server generates a context recording the download progress information of the network element for each selected network element to be upgraded, and issues the upgrade control information to each network element to be upgraded; step 2, the each network element to be upgraded downloads the upgrade software version information from a designated download source according to the received upgrade control information, and sends the download progress information back to the network management server; step 3, the network management server stores the download progress information in the context, and detects, based on the context, that whether the download operation of each network element satisfies the preset download constraints, if not, the upgrade control information is adjusted and then transmitted to the corresponding network element, and return to step2, until all the network elements to be upgraded accomplish the download of the software versions. The method of the invention improves the efficiency of the upgrade of the network element software. |
