abstract |
The present invention provides a separator for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, which comprises: a porous substrate that contains a polyolefin; and a heat-resistant porous layer that is disposed on at least one surface of the porous substrate and contains a thermoplastic resin. The separator for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery satisfies the following conditions (i) and (ii) when thermomechanical analysis is performed under a constant weight. (i) There is at least one contraction peak within the temperature range of 130 to 155ºC in the displacement waveform, which shows the amount of displacement with contraction. (ii) The elongation rate from the temperature (T 1 ) at which the contraction peak appears to (T 1 + 20)ºC is less than 0.5%/ºC. |
