A method for preparing induced pluripotent stem (iPS)cells, which comprises steps as follow: step 1, introducing one or more stem cell pluripotency factors into somatic cells; step 2, culturing the somatic cells into which introduced the stem cell pluripotency factors of step 1 was introduced by using culture medium supplemented with lithium salt; and step 3, identifying the clones of iPS cells. Furthermore, provided is a culture medium used for preparing iPS cells, which contains lithium salt. The culture medium supplemented with lithium salt is used for efficiently inducing pluripotent stem cells. Lithium salt is able to raise the productive efficiency of mouse iPS cells by 5-60 times. The method for inducing iPS cells of the present invention is in favor of improving the security of iPS technique and application of iPS cells in regenerative medicine. |
