Optical film, and polarizing plate and liquid crystal display device using same |
abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical film having a large phase difference value, little humidity-related fluctuation in the phase difference value, a small photoelasticity modulus, and excellent adhesiveness with a polarizing plate. The optical film of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises a cellulose ester (A), which satisfies the formulas (1) and (2) in terms of the average total degree of substitution of the acyl groups and the average total number of carbon atoms of the acyl groups and a vinyl polymer (B) at a mass ratio of (A): (B) = 95:5 to 50:50;nthe vinyl polymer is a polymer formed from a nonaromatic vinyl monomer having a solubility parameter that is 17.5 (MPa 1/2 ) or greater but less than 20.0 (MPa 1/2 ); and the weight-average molecular weight of the vinyl polymer is within a range of 500 to 10,000. Formula (1): 1.0≤X+ΣY i <2.0nFormula (2): 4.0≤2×X+Σ(n i ×Y i )<6.0 |
