This production method for an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst includes (a) a step of preparing a metal oxide support containing zirconium, (b) a step of preparing a solution containing rhodium, (c) a step of obtaining a solution having a pH adjusted to 3.0 to 7.5 by adding the metal oxide support prepared in the step (a), and ammonium carbonate, ammonium hydrogencarbonate, or aqueous ammonia, to the solution prepared in the step (b). The present invention provides a method capable of producing an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst in which rhodium is supported with a high degree of dispersion and a small grain size to a metal oxide support containing zirconium. |
