Method and device for searching wideband code division multiple access cells |
abstract |
A method and device for searching Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) cells are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The method for searching WCDMA cells in the present invention includes the following steps: performing coarse-scanning within a given frequency band range according to set stepping, finely scanning each coarsely scanned frequency point, 5M times frequency scanning the finely scanned frequency points; and recording the frequency points and the frequency band numbers which have been successfully searched. In the process of searching cells, own characteristics of WCDMA signals are used to differentiate the WCDMA signals and global system from mobile communication (GSM) signals, the manners of coarse-scanning, fine-scanning and 5M time frequency scanning are adopted in sequence, thereby enabling to shorten searching time without missing cells. |
