titleOfInvention Process for manufacturing a spring made of a composite material, such as a suspension spring in particular for a motor vehicle
abstract A process for manufacturing a spring made of a composite material, such as a suspension spring in particular for a motor vehicle, consists in winding a yarn (la) of resin-impregnated fibres around an inflated bladder (2) by placing it in an outer helical groove (5) of the bladder (2), fitting the inflated bladder (2) and the yarn (la) wound around the latter into a female mould (6) comprising an inner helical groove (9) that receives the yarn (la), pressurizing the bladder (2) in order to press the yarn (la) of resin-impregnated fibres to the back of the inner groove (9) of the female mould (6), applying heat in order to polymerize the resin, depressurizing the bladder (2) and removing it from the female mould (6) and extracting the spring (1) from the depressurized bladder (2). This process finds an application in the motor vehicle field.
