abstract A method and apparatus for combining a panoramic image. The method includes: obtaining multiple original images of the same scene, performing folding changes and coordinate conversions on the multiple original images, determining an overlapped area of the multiple original images; establishing a mathematics model of the multiple original images, matching the overlapped area of the multiple original images, transforming the multiple original images to a coordinate system of a reference image; and according to the coordinate system of the reference image, obtaining the space conversion relations among the multiple original images, selecting an appropriate image combining strategy, and finishing the combination of the image. The scheme can realize obtaining a large view scene picture without reducing the image resolution.
