The invention relates to a fuel tablet (20) for pyrotechnic safety devices in vehicles, such as airbag modules, belt tensioners, micro gas generators, and igniters. The fuel tablet according to the invention has a substantially cylindrical shape and can be obtained by dry pressing a powdery fuel composition. The tablet has a diameter of at most 2 mm and preferably a relative bulk density, defined as the ratio of the bulk density of the fuel tablets to the maximum theoretical density of the fuel composition, of at least 0.5. The invention further relates to a propellant, an igniter, and a gas generator each having a plurality of such fuel tablets. |
