| abstract |
Disclosed is sanitary ware, such as a toilet bowl or a wash bowel, having a glaze layer which can cover the base of the sanitary ware satisfactorily without using any emulsifying agent, and which is not easily stained. The sanitary ware is provided with a glaze layer composed of one layer and formed on the base of the sanitary ware as a sole glaze layer, and is characterized in that the glaze layer is mainly composed of a phase-separated amorphous glass and the surface of the glaze layer has a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.07 μm or less. Thus, the base of the sanitary ware can be covered satisfactorily and a good white color can be imparted to the sanitary ware in a preferred embodiment. |
