abstract | Provided is a solid-state image pickup element which can improve the qualities of picked up images.nThe solid-state image pickup element is provided with: a plurality of pixel electrodes (21), which are two-dimensionally disposed above a semiconductor substrate (6); a counter electrode (23), which is formed on the upper layers of the pixel electrodes (21), and which is composed of a transparent conductive oxide having a resistance of 100 kΩ/□ or lower; a light receiving layer (22), which is formed between the pixel electrodes (21) and the counter electrode (23), and which includes a photoelectric conversion layer containing an organic material; and a connecting section (3), which electrically connects a voltage supply line (4) and the counter electrode (23) to each other, said voltage supply line supplying a vias voltage to be applied to the counter electrode (23). In planar view, a substantially rectangular region having the pixel electrodes (21) disposed therein is formed as a pixel region (2), the size of the pixel region (2) is 5 inches or smaller, the connecting section (3) is formed in a part of the peripheral region outside of the pixel region (2), said part being a region close to and along at least one side of the four sides of the pixel region (2) or a region close to at least two corners among the four corners of the pixel region (2), and the counter electrode (23) is formed such that the counter electrode extends to even over the connecting section (3). |
