titleOfInvention Optical analysis method using optical measurement in multiple wavelength bands
abstract Provided is an optical analysis technique by optical measurement using a confocal microscope or multiphoton microscope, the technique enabling identification of the type of a light-emitting particle corresponding to a time-series optical intensity data signal or enabling identification of a signal corresponding to a light-emitting particle other than a particle to be observed. This optical analysis technique includes measuring separately and simultaneously the intensity of light beams of a plurality of wavelength bands from a photodetection region in a sample solution containing a plurality of types of light-emitting particles to create time-series optical intensity data of each wavelength band; detecting signals which have occurred at the same time in time-series optical intensity data of at least two wavelength bands; and identifying one of the simultaneously occurring signals as a signal of one light-emitting particle of at least one particular type.
