titleOfInvention Novel hydrolase protein
abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel hydrolase which can be used for efficiently producing a (1S,2S)-1-alkoxycarbonyl-2-vinylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid, which is a compound useful as an intermediate for the synthesis of a therapeutic agent for hepatitis C, through the hydrolysis of a dialkyl-2-vinylcyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid with an enzyme. The present invention provides a hydrolase protein which comprises an amino acid sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NO:2 to SEQ ID NO:5, and which has an activity of catalyzing the reaction of the conversion of diethyl-2-vinylcyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid to (1S,2S)-1-ethoxycarbonyl-2-vinylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid with higher selectivity than that of a protein comprising the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1.
