| abstract | The invention relates to a multi-layer plastic pipe (1), preferably for use in house and building engineering, which comprises a first layer (2), which surrounds a tubular cavity (4) of the plastic pipe (1) and which contains cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X), and a second layer (3), which is arranged between the first layer (2) and the outside of the plastic pipe (1), preferably forms the outermost layer of the plastic pipe (1) and is made of PE-RT. The invention further relates to the use of a multi-layer plastic pipe (1) according to the invention for producing a welded connection, in particular a heating element socket welded connection or an electric welding socket connection, between the plastic pipe (1) and a molded part, the inner layer of which is made of a thermoplastic material at least in the area of the connection between the plastic pipe (1) and the molded part. The invention further relates to a corresponding welded connection and to the use of such a multi-layer plastic pipe (1) as a medium-conducting pipe in drinking water piping systems, in drinking water installation, in a gas piping system, in a sprinkler system, in heating element connections, in concrete core temperature control, and in an area heating and/or area cooling system or as an industrial pipe for conducting gaseous media and liquids. |
