abstract The purpose of the present invention is to achieve a high production yield for a titanium dioxide coating film which supports iron. In order to achieve the purpose, an aqueous slurry is formed by mixing a titanium dioxide powder and an aqueous iron chloride solution, and the thus-formed aqueous slurry is sprayed by means of a spray technique. Since a photocatalyst coating film can be formed while having the titanium dioxide powder support FeO(OH) during the spraying, the production yield is remarkably improved.
