abstract | The invention relates to a cosmetic treatment method for reducing or preventing reactive hyperpigmentation of the skin, characterized in that at least one compound of formula (I): R 1 -CHOH-CH(NH-COR 2 )(CH 2 OH) (I) is applied onto the skin, where R 1 is a C 13 to C 17 alkyl or alkenyl radical, and R 2 is a C 13 to C 19 straight hydrocarbon radical that may comprise one or more ethylenic unsaturations, in particular one or two ethylenic unsaturations, or a composition containing the compound of formula (I) in a physiologically acceptable medium is applied onto the skin. The invention also relates to the cosmetic use of at least one compound of formula (I) as an agent for reducing or preventing reactive hyperpigmentation, said compound being provided in a cosmetic composition. |
