Provided is a multi-photon organic electroluminescent element having a charge generation layer using materials that are not susceptible to deterioration in atmospheric pressure conditions. An electroluminescent element (10) comprising a pair of electrodes consisting of an anode (32) and a cathode (34), a plurlaity of light-emitting layers (50) provided between the electrodes, a charge generation layers (70) provided between adjacent light-emitting layers, wherein the charge generation layers include an ionic polymer that generates electrons and/or positive holes. |
