The invention relates to a method for aftertreating polyolesters produced by reacting polyols with linear or branched aliphatic monocarboxylic acids having 3 to 20 carbon atoms in the presence of a metal-containing compound as a catalyst, wherein the obtained polyolester is brought in contact with an oxidative or reductive compound in order to lighten the color and a water vapor treatment occurs immediately thereafter. |
