titleOfInvention Comminution device comprising a worm conveyor
abstract The invention relates to a comminution device (20) comprising a comminution tool (22) and a conveyor worm (32). The conveyor worm (32) is driven by a conveyor motor (31). The comminution tool (22) is moved with the aid of a comminution motor (27). Both motors (27), (31) are preferably designed as three-phase motors. They are actuated by a control unit (40). The control unit (40) detects a load variable (L) describing the load, and in particular the torque, of the comminution motor (27). The operating state of the conveyor motor (31) is set depending on said load variable (L). The invention further relates to a comminution device in which a tool-free compression space (74) is present between the conveyor worm (32), or conveyor worms (32), and the comminution tool (22). The volume (V2) of said space corresponds approximately to the volume (V3) that remains in the housing (21) around the conveyor worm (32), or conveyor worms (32). Continuous material transport and an even load of the comminution tool (22) and the comminution device (27) are thus achieved. In particular the length (x) of the compression space (74), measured in the direction of the longitudinal axis (A) of the conveyor worm or conveyor worms (32), is greater than the height (z) of said space perpendicular thereto and perpendicular to the rotational axis (D) of the comminution tool (22).
