abstract The present invention relates to a method for separating calgranulin A and β-actin as dementia markers which can be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of dementia, and to a composition for the treatment and identification of dementia (Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, alcoholic dementia), comprising an antibody that specifically binds to the calgranulin A and to â-actin. The separation method of the present invention comprises the following steps: separating blood cells containing leucocytes (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, etc.), erythrocytes, platelets, and the like from blood; performing DEAE-cellulose column chromatography on the blood cells; precipitating the blood cells using 30 to 80% of ammonium sulfate; performing ubiquitin-Sepharose affinity column chromatography on the blood cells; performing electrophoresis on the blood cells; and checking the proteins of the blood cells.
