abstract There are provided methods, primers, probes and kits for detecting oseltamivir resistant influenza virus. The method involves detection of influenza virus neuraminidase nucleic acid with a probe which binds to target nucleotide sequence located within the neuraminidase nucleic acid. A run control nucleic acid molecule for use in a target nucleic acid detection assay is also provided.
