abstract The invention relates to a method for the delignification of a pulp of cellulose fibres or any other lignocellulosic material (LCM), comprising at least one LCM pre-treatment step including the refining of the LCM, together with the pre-treatment thereof with urea or one of the derivative compounds of same. The invention facilitates the access of both enzymes and chemical reagents into the cellulose fibres, thereby increasing delignification and bleaching, while simultaneously reducing the quantity of reagents and contamination in effluents.
