For purifying a protein such as an antibody on a large scale, there has been required a method which is economically advantageous and enables purification to high purity. Disclosed is a method for purifying a protein through at least one chromatography step, wherein a buffer solution (for example, an equilibrated buffer solution, a buffer solution for washing and/or a buffer solution for elution) to be used in at least one chromatography step contains an amino acid or a dipeptide, oligopeptide or polyamino acid of the same so that the protein can be purified to a high purity with an extremely small content of impurities (for example, polymers and host cell proteins). |
