abstract | The invention relates to a pelargonic acid formulation in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, and to the use thereof for treating undesired plant growth. The herbicidal pelargonic acid formulation according to the invention comprises: a) pelargonic acid or a mixture of aliphatic C 6 -C 10 -carbolic acids having a pelargonic acid proportion of at least 80 wt % relative to the total weight of the mixture, as component A; b) at least one organic solvent as component B, comprising a water solubility below 1 g/l under standard conditions and a boiling point above 130° at standard pressure; c) at least one surface-active substance as component C, selected from compounds of formula (I), where n stands for 0 or 1, R 1 for a linear or branched C 6 -C 22 -alkyl radical, and R 2 and R 3 , independently of each other, stand for hydrogen or a C 1 -C 4 -alkyl group; d) at least one non-ionic tenside as component D, selected from substances comprising at least one poly-C 2 -C 4 -oxyalkylene group; at least one amino acid as component E, having an isoelectric point in the range between 5 and 7, and f) water. |
