abstract Provided is a dental restorative composite that has excellent opal effect and little feeling of pastiness or polymer contraction during curing and is suitable for restoring excised parts. Said dental restorative composite comprises (A) polymerizable monomers, (B) spherical silica particles [I], preferably, silica-titanium oxide complex oxide particles, with mean particle diameter in the range of 0.1-0.5 μm and a standard deviation of the particle diameter distribution of 1.30 or less, (C) organic-inorganic composite filler wherein said silica particles [I] have been dispersed in an organic resin matrix, and (D) polymerization initiator.
