Disclosed are: a nonaqueous electrolyte solution which is capable of improving electrochemical characteristics over a wide temperature range; an electrochemical element using the nonaqueous electrolyte solution; and a sulfonic acid ester compound having a branched structure, which is used in the nonaqueous electrolyte solution.nSpecifically disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution obtained by dissolving an electrolyte salt in a nonaqueous solvent, which is characterized in that 0.001-5% by mass of a sulfonic acid ester compound represented by general formula (I) is contained in the nonaqueous electrolyte solution.n(In the formula, R represents an alkyl group or an aryl group; A represents >CH group or >SiZ group (wherein Z represents an alkyl group or an aryl group); X represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group; Y represents a cycloalkyl group, an -L 1 CHR a OSO 2 R b group or an -Si(R c )(R d )OSO 2 R b group; and W represents 1 or 2. In this connection, R a represents an alkyl group; R b , R c and R d each represents an alkyl group or an aryl group; and L 1 represents an alkylene group wherein at least one hydrogen atom may be substituted by an -OSO 2 R e group (wherein R e represents the same as R), a divalent linking group that contains at least one ether bond, or a single bond.) |
