abstract Disclosed is a capacitor (100) equipped with a positive electrode (10), a negative electrode (20), and a solid electrolyte layer (30) disposed between these electrode layers (10) and (20). At least one of the electrode layers (10) and (20) comprises porous Al (11) and an electrode material (12 or 13) which is held by the porous Al (11) and which polarizes the electrolyte. The porous Al (11) has a surface oxygen amount of 3.1 mass% or less. That the porous Al (11) has a surface oxygen amount of 3.1 mass% or less is equal to that substantially no oxide film having high resistance has been formed on the surface of the porous Al (11). Due to this porous Al (11), the electrode layer (10 or 20) can have an increased current collection area and, hence, the capacitor (100) can have an improved capacity.
