Method for electrochemically detecting binding reactions |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for carrying out homogenous immunoassay formats with highly sensitive electrochemical detection in solution, characterized in that two different conjugates are combined as reagents with the sample or a sample/buffer mixture, wherein one conjugate comprises a redox marker and an analyte molecule and the second conjugate comprises an anti-redox marker antibody or a specifically binding fragment thereof and a molecule that specifically binds the analyte. The method is suitable for wash- and separation-free immunoassays in diagnostics, in particular for automated and microfluidic immunoassays. The method is also suitable for inexpensive immunoassay systems and test strips that are disposable. |
