Bacillus coagulans strain used in producing l-lactic acid and use thereof |
abstract |
Bacillus coagulans strains DSM No.23183 and DSM No.23184 used in producing L-lactic acid and use thereof are provided. The Bacillus coagulans strains DSM No.23183 and DSM No.23184 can utilize pentose or hexose, or agricultural or industrial waste comprising pentose and/or hexose as carbon source in fermentation to produce L-lactic acid. After fermentation, the highest L-Lactic acid yield is up to 195g/L, and the optical purity of the L-Lactic acid is higher than 99%. At the same time, the conversion efficiency of glucic acid is up to 98% and the fermentation capacity is 2.7 g/L/h. The Bacillus coagulans strains of present invention can directly utilize reducing sugar in side product of xylitol production to prepare L-lactic acid with high concentration. The Bacillus coagulans strains and fermentation methods of present invention can reduce the cost and improve the production efficiency, therefore are valuable in industrial application. |
