| abstract | Multi-panel is primarily designed to achieve a gradual evolution of a simple and small enclosure for a child to a multi-faceted and multi-purpose enclosure for a child or several children. This possibility will enhance its usefulness beyond the normal use and also beyond the normal period of use of a playpen. Multi-Panel is also designed for assembly of expandable enclosures which have the attribute of (a) flexibility in taking numerous shapes and sizes in order to suit available floor area, (b) ability to be upgraded by adding one or many optional modules according to each customer's preferences and (c) ability to be folded and collapsed thus making its storage and transportability easier than any other play- enclosure. The flexibility of Multi-panels enables playpens, play-yards and other enclosures enhances their usefulness by being connected with said optional modules such as a door, toy-chest, table and/or a play-house. Due to the flexibility in the use of Multi-panels, the playpens and similar enclosures made with Multi-panels can be used for different purposes depending on each customer's preference. The new designs of components provide the flexibility in the making of many new designs: (a) of modules some of which are shown in the diagrams and (b) of end- products which are usable independently. The same components also make these end-products and modules, foldable and collapsible. |
