The invention relates to a cathode composition for a galvanic element, in particular a lithium-sulfur cell, produced by mixing elementary sulfur (1), at least one porous, electrically conductive component (2) selected from the group made up of activated carbon, carbon nanotubes, metal particles having a sponge-like structure, and mixtures thereof, and at least one binder (3). In order to obtain the porous structure of the electrically conductive component and to prevent sulfur inclusions inaccessible to the electrolytes, the elementary sulfur (1) and the at least one porous, electrically conductive component (2) are thereby mixed as individual components and the cathode composition is not heated to a temperature greater than or equal to the fusing temperature of the elementary sulfur (1) until the end of the production thereof. The invention further relates to a cathode, to a galvanic element having such a cathode, and to a method for producing a cathode composition, a cathode, and a galvanic element. |
