titleOfInvention Composition for amelioration of hypoalbuminemia
abstract A composition for ameliorating hypoalbuminemia, which contains a branched amino acid as an active ingredient, and which is characterized in that leucine and/or isoleucine is contained as the active ingredient and valine is not contained. It is preferred that both leucine and isoleucine be contained as the branched amino acid. The ratio of the mass of leucine to the mass of isoleucine is preferably 0.1 to 10 inclusive. As the branched amino acid, only leucine or isoleucine may be contained. The composition can be used suitably in the form of an infusion preparation, an oral preparation, a food or a beverage.
