abstract |
Disclosed is an apparatus which a hydrothermal method can employ to manufacture a high-quality single crystal of a low content of metal impurity for various types of devices at reduced costs. The apparatus for manufacturing the single crystal is provided with an autoclave and a container in the autoclave for growing the single crystal, so that a seed crystal is placed in the container and then the hydrothermal method is followed to manufacture the single crystal. The container for growing the single crystal is characterized by being made of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of pure titanium, pure tantalum, and pure zirconium. |
