abstract A method for treating ship ballast water is provided. The method includes the following processes: A. filtration process in which filter treatment of ballast water is performed to remove large biological particles and solids, and B. sterilization process in which the filtrated water flows into the sterilization process unit for killing the germ and bacteria in water. At the same time, a system for treating ship ballast water is provided. The method has low energy consumption, high efficiency, easy installation, simple operation and no secondary pollution.
